MCO to the Orange County Convention Center
Before leaving the airport, check your event confirmation for the correct OCCC concourse. The West and North/South buildings form a large campus, and “the convention center” is not specific enough to identify your event entrance. Give your driver the concourse name and address, plus any entrance instructions supplied by the organizer.
MCO states that taxicabs picking up at the airport must use a taximeter and that flat-rate fees are not authorized. For terminal directions, read where to find a taxi at MCO. For the differences between taxis, rideshare and shared shuttles, see our MCO transportation comparison.
OCCC publishes an estimated taxi fare of $45–$50 from the convention center to MCO. That is a venue estimate for the trip toward the airport, not a verified MCO-to-OCCC price or a Yellow Cab quote. OCCC cautions that traffic, weather, tolls, detours and other conditions can affect fares.
For your return to MCO, consider your flight's check-in requirements and the time needed to leave the event. Call to discuss your ride and meeting point rather than assuming a cab will be waiting at the closest exit. See our MCO airport taxi page for general airport service information.
Staying elsewhere on I-Drive or near SeaWorld? Our MCO to International Drive and SeaWorld guide covers airport rides to the wider hotel corridor and parks. Use this OCCC guide for concourses, event pickup arrangements and show-specific travel.
Taxis and rideshare at OCCC
Finding the taxi stand
OCCC says taxi-service locations vary by show. A stand is typically set up in front of the building, and show management posts its hours. Follow your event's current instructions and signs; a location used for a previous convention may not be the right place for yours.
Yellow Cab of Orlando is approved by OCCC to stage taxis on its property. The venue says staging taxis are vetted, but taxi-stand locations and hours still vary by show. If the stand is unclear, ask event staff where the current taxi area is before joining a line.
Rideshare pickup is separate
OCCC directs Uber and Lyft passengers to designated pickup points with banners and signage. Its published West Building rideshare map identifies:
- Area 1, Halls A and B: pickup and drop-off on Convention Way.
- Area 2, Halls C–F: the E/F Lobby outer lane.
- Area 3: the Westwood bus lanes.
These are rideshare locations, not Yellow Cab pickup instructions. The linked map's filename is dated November 2023; follow current app instructions and venue signage if arrangements differ. The map does not establish pickup points for the North/South Building.

Calling a Yellow Cab
When you call, provide the show name, concourse, nearest marked entrance, passenger count and luggage needs. Ask dispatch to confirm where you should meet before moving to another side of the building. Do not assume a called cab will use the same location as a walk-up taxi stand or rideshare pickup.
If your event has multiple sessions or venues, check which building you will be leaving, not just where you arrived. A clear meeting point helps everyone discuss the same location without relying on a vague campus name.
I-Drive hotels and walking routes
Some convention hotels have pedestrian-bridge connections. OCCC lists the Oversight Pedestrian Bridge between the North/South Building, Hyatt Regency Orlando and the West Building. It also lists the International Drive Pedestrian Bridge between Hyatt Regency Orlando and West Hall C on Level 2.
The Rosen Plaza Skywalk connects to the West Building near Hall F, while the Rosen Centre Skywalk connects near Hall A. Hilton Orlando connects by pedestrian bridge to the South Concourse. These connections can help you decide whether you need a vehicle for a particular journey.
Check your hotel's directions and event entrance before setting out. A bridge connection does not establish a walking time, an accessible route for every visitor or that every event door is open. Use marked crossings and follow current signs. For hotels farther along International Drive or Universal Boulevard, give dispatch the property's full name and address.
Trolley, bus and show shuttles
OCCC lists I-Ride Trolley stops in front of the West and North/South buildings on International Drive, with passes sold at OCCC Guest Services. Check the I-Ride Trolley website for current maps, operating times and fares.
LYNX also serves the convention center, with connections to MCO and Downtown Orlando. Use LYNX's journey-planning information to check your route and any transfers; a connection does not necessarily mean a direct airport bus.
Check your show's official travel page for any hotel shuttle, eligible hotels, boarding location and last departure. Do not assume a shuttle continues after evening activities. OCCC also notes that pedicabs operate independently and that the venue does not schedule their availability.
After the show: Universal, Disney and I-Drive
An evening trip may start at a different hotel, restaurant or event entrance from your daytime ride. Give the actual destination, not just “Disney” or “Universal,” and check your return meeting point before leaving your group.
OCCC's Getting Here page lists estimated taxi fares from the convention center of $15–$17 to Universal Studios, $20–$22 to Disney Springs, $33–$45 to Epcot and $47–$50 to Magic Kingdom. These are OCCC's published estimates, checked October 18, 2026—not Yellow Cab quotes or promises about the final fare. They should not be applied to a different Universal park or Disney destination.
Yellow Cab operates 24/7, but that does not guarantee immediate availability or a particular pickup time after an event. Call (407) 222-2222 to discuss the return ride. Our Disney-to-Universal guide includes park-area pickup guidance, including Magic Kingdom's Transportation and Ticket Center.
Groups, accessibility and expense receipts
Sedans seat up to four passengers and vans up to seven. Tell dispatch about bags, strollers and other equipment as well as your passenger count. Seating capacity alone does not show whether a particular combination of passengers and luggage will fit.
For parties of 5–7, see our van taxi guide. For two or more vans, call to coordinate passenger counts, luggage and pickup details.
For a wheelchair-accessible van, call before travel to discuss the equipment, whether the passenger needs to remain in the wheelchair and the meeting arrangements. Do not assume that a suitable vehicle will be at the stand or that a particular scooter will fit. See our wheelchair-accessible taxi guide.
If your employer needs an expense receipt, explain the required information and ask which receipt and payment options apply before the trip. For account travel, confirm the billing arrangements with your account contact rather than assuming an individual ride receipt is the same as a company invoice.
For planners and companies
Start with the journeys your team actually needs: airport arrivals, hotel-to-convention trips, staff movements and returns after evening events. Share your show dates, expected passenger numbers, concourses and accommodation addresses when discussing a corporate or event account.
Yellow Cab offers corporate and hotel accounts, and accounts transferred from Mears Taxi. Our corporate-account page explains how to start the conversation and links to the corporate and hotel web booker. Confirm the arrangements for your organization before distributing booking instructions to attendees.
For a large show, separate the questions of arranging rides, loading at the venue and providing on-site support. Ask about the vehicle mix, accessibility requirements, timing and any coordination needed with show management. Do not treat an account inquiry as confirmation of reserved fleet capacity, a staffed taxi stand or dedicated dispatch support.
If you need consolidated invoices, cost-center references, attendee vouchers or ride codes, raise those requirements before planning around them. Agree which arrangements are available, who may book and how charges will be handled.
Discuss a corporate or event account, or call (407) 222-2222.

OCCC currently lists that number under “Mears Transportation - Orlando.” Mears Connect is a separate shared-shuttle service; its reservations are not Yellow Cab reservations.
