Taxi from MCO to International Drive and SeaWorld
Yellow Cab of Orlando, formerly Mears Taxi, provides 24/7 taxi service between Orlando International Airport and International Drive hotels, ICON Park, the convention center area, SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove. Choose a sedan for up to four passengers or request a van for up to seven; wheelchair-accessible vans are also available by arrangement.
Walk-up taxis from MCO’s stands are metered. The airport lists an approximate $38–$45 fare to the International Drive area, not a guaranteed price for every hotel or park. For a SeaWorld pickup or return ride, confirm your meeting point with dispatch.
Call (407) 222-2222 — (407) 422-2222 also works — or prearrange online.

How much is the taxi from MCO?
MCO’s published approximate taxi fare for the International Drive area is $38–$45. That is the airport’s estimate, not a Yellow Cab fare offer or a price ceiling. MCO states that airport taxicabs must use a taximeter and that flat-rate fees are not authorized. Your final airport-stand fare may differ from the published approximation.
International Drive covers many destinations. Give the driver your complete hotel name and street address, rather than just “I-Drive.” Properties with similar names can be in different parts of the corridor. The airport’s table does not identify a separate SeaWorld fare, and we do not assign every nearby hotel, Aquatica or Discovery Cove to that range.
For a ride you prearrange with us, enter the pickup and destination in the website booking form for a trip quote, then call dispatch to confirm the pickup and fare. That quote applies only to the ride you prearrange with us; it is not a fare you can present at the airport taxi rank.
International Drive by area
North I-Drive, near Universal
Staying near Universal does not always mean staying at a Universal Orlando Resort hotel. Check the property name and address on your reservation before booking your airport ride. An off-property hotel on or around north I-Drive is a different destination from a Universal park entrance or resort hotel. For an on-site Universal stay, use our MCO to Universal Orlando guide. Tell us the hotel, not just the theme park you plan to visit.
ICON Park and the Sand Lake Road area
For stays around ICON Park and the Sand Lake Road area, use the hotel’s address as your arrival destination. ICON Park, restaurants and entertainment venues can be useful landmarks, but they are not interchangeable pickup points. If you are going straight to a restaurant or attraction, name that venue instead. For a later ride, confirm where you will be waiting rather than reusing your hotel’s location. Nearby destinations such as Pointe Orlando also need their own selected address.
Convention center area
If you are staying near the Orange County Convention Center, enter your hotel rather than an exhibition building for an airport-to-hotel ride. Going directly to a show? Our OCCC taxi guide explains the concourses, event pickup arrangements and venue-specific transportation details.
South I-Drive and SeaWorld-area hotels
Around SeaWorld, Sea Harbor Drive and Central Florida Parkway, confirm whether your destination is a hotel or one of the three parks. A SeaWorld-area hotel is not the same drop-off as SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica or Discovery Cove. Do not assume a hotel’s marketing description places it inside the airport’s approximate I-Drive fare range. Use the full address for your trip quote and tell dispatch about any arrival instructions supplied by the property.
SeaWorld, Aquatica and Discovery Cove
SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld lists its address as 7007 Sea World Drive, Orlando, FL 32821, with its main entrance on Central Florida Parkway. These details identify the park; they do not by themselves identify the taxi loading point. See SeaWorld’s official directions.
For a taxi drop-off or pickup, follow current park signage and confirm the meeting point with dispatch. Do not assume a bus shelter, hotel-shuttle canopy or rideshare area is the right place for your taxi. When arranging a return, describe the signs or landmark where you are waiting so dispatch can clarify the location.
Aquatica Orlando
Aquatica lists 5800 Water Play Way, Orlando, FL 32821, and describes its location as across International Drive from SeaWorld. Select Aquatica specifically when booking; a ride to SeaWorld does not identify Aquatica’s entrance. The park’s official directions help identify the destination, but do not specify a current taxi pickup point. Confirm loading instructions for your ride rather than borrowing directions for the neighboring park.
Discovery Cove
Discovery Cove lists 6000 Discovery Cove Way, Orlando, FL 32821, with an entrance from Central Florida Parkway. Use Discovery Cove’s own name and address, not SeaWorld’s. Check the arrival instructions in your park reservation before choosing your pickup time. For an early visit, contact dispatch in advance to arrange the ride and discuss your required arrival time. We do not publish a universal check-in time or booking-notice requirement here. See Discovery Cove’s directions.
Leaving at park close
You can call our 24/7 dispatch team or request a scheduled return through the booking form. Confirm the meeting point, passenger count and any accessibility needs when arranging the ride. Park closing times and loading arrangements can change, and a busy curb may require additional coordination. Keep your phone available for pickup instructions. A scheduled request is not a promise of an immediate pickup or a taxi waiting at a particular stand.
Need a return from the parks? Call (407) 222-2222 or prearrange online.
Getting your taxi at MCO
For a walk-up taxi, follow signs to Level 1 Ground Transportation at Terminals A and B, or Level 6 Arrivals at Terminal C. Our MCO taxi pickup guide has the terminal-by-terminal directions.
If you prearranged a ride, call dispatch to confirm your terminal, meeting point and fare. Do not assume your driver will meet you at the walk-up taxi queue. See our MCO airport taxi guide for the distinction between a taxi-rank trip and a prearranged ride.
Return trips to MCO
For the trip home, use your hotel’s full address and confirm which entrance or loading area you will use. Your airport destination should identify MCO and your departure terminal. If you are leaving directly from a park, arrange the return from that park rather than keeping an earlier hotel pickup location.
Choose a pickup time that allows for the drive, baggage check, security and your airline’s recommended airport arrival time. Road conditions vary; do not plan an airport connection around a single advertised journey time. Check current routing and speak with dispatch if you need help planning an early pickup. Enter the return route in the booking form for its own trip quote; the airport’s outbound I-Drive estimate is not a reverse-direction fare.
Taxi, rideshare, shuttle, trolley or bus?
Airport-stand taxis are metered; rideshare prices and meeting instructions appear in the relevant app. Shared shuttles and hotel shuttles have their own destinations, booking rules and schedules. Mears Connect is a separate shuttle service: check its served resorts and booking options rather than assuming it serves your I-Drive hotel or park.
LYNX Link 42 connects MCO with International Drive-area stops and Destination Parkway. Check the current route, service alerts and any onward travel required for your exact destination. The I-Ride Trolley is another option to investigate for trips along the corridor; consult its current map rather than assuming airport service. Our MCO transportation comparison explains the main choices without assuming one is always cheapest.
Groups, children and accessibility
Tell us the number of passengers and the amount of luggage before choosing a vehicle. A seven-passenger van’s seating capacity does not establish how many large suitcases will fit with every seat occupied. Describe bulky bags, strollers or mobility equipment to dispatch so the vehicle request reflects your actual needs.
Our vehicle choice does not add a fare surcharge. If you need a wheelchair-accessible van, call to discuss the wheelchair or scooter, boarding needs and vehicle availability; see our wheelchair taxi information. For children, confirm suitable restraints and any car-seat arrangements before booking. Do not assume a child seat is supplied or that every mobility device fits every vehicle.
Group of 5–7? See our van taxi guide for seating, luggage planning and how to request a Passenger Van.
Formerly Mears Taxi
MCO’s taxi page still lists “Mears Taxi” with (407) 422-2222. Yellow Cab of Orlando is formerly Mears Taxi, and that number continues to reach us. Read about the Mears Taxi transition. Mears Connect is a separate shuttle service, not the same taxi booking.
Flying into Sanford rather than MCO? Use our SFB to International Drive guide. Planning a separate theme-park transfer later in your stay? See our Disney–Universal taxi guide.
Common questions
How much is a taxi from MCO to International Drive or SeaWorld?
MCO lists an approximate $38–$45 taxi fare to the International Drive area, checked October 18, 2026. Airport-stand trips are metered, and the final fare can differ. The airport does not publish a separate SeaWorld row. For a prearranged ride, use our booking form for a trip quote and confirm the pickup and fare with dispatch.
Where do taxis drop off and pick up at SeaWorld?
Confirm the current taxi meeting point with dispatch and follow park signage. SeaWorld’s official directions identify the park and entrance but do not specify a current taxi pickup point. Do not assume a hotel-shuttle stop or rideshare zone is the taxi loading area.
Can I get a taxi when SeaWorld closes?
Yes. Yellow Cab of Orlando operates 24/7. Call (407) 222-2222 or (407) 422-2222, or request a scheduled return online. Confirm the meeting point; busy closing periods can affect pickup arrangements and waiting time.
How long is the ride from MCO to I-Drive or SeaWorld?
The time depends on the exact destination, route and traffic. Check current driving directions for your hotel or park, and allow additional time for airport and pickup procedures. We do not promise a single journey time for the whole I-Drive corridor.
Where do I catch a taxi at MCO?
Walk-up taxi stands are on Level 1 at Terminals A and B and Level 6 Arrivals at Terminal C. Follow current airport signs. For a prearranged ride, confirm your meeting point with dispatch rather than assuming it is the taxi rank.
Is a taxi or Uber better for this trip?
It depends on your group, luggage, timing and the price available when you travel. Airport taxis are metered; rideshare prices and pickup instructions are set in the app. Compare the options for your particular trip rather than assuming one is always cheaper.
Does a taxi cost the same for one or seven people?
MCO says airport taxis charge the same rate regardless of passenger count, with some taxis carrying up to nine. Yellow Cab’s advertised vans seat up to seven, and our vehicle choice does not add a fare surcharge. Confirm passenger and luggage capacity when booking.
Can you take us to Aquatica or Discovery Cove?
Yes. Choose the correct park: Aquatica is at 5800 Water Play Way; Discovery Cove is at 6000 Discovery Cove Way. Confirm your pickup or drop-off arrangements with dispatch and follow current park instructions.
Do I need a car when staying on International Drive?
That depends on your itinerary and hotel. Taxis, rideshare, the I-Ride Trolley, LYNX and any hotel-provided shuttles may cover different parts of your trip. Check each service’s destinations and operating times, especially for early starts and late returns.
Is there a bus from MCO to International Drive?
LYNX Link 42 connects MCO with International Drive-area stops and Destination Parkway. Check LYNX’s current route, schedules and service alerts, and plan any onward connection to your hotel or park.
Can I request a wheelchair-accessible taxi?
Yes. Call dispatch to discuss an accessible van, your mobility equipment and travel time. Vehicle availability and equipment fit must be confirmed; no specific notice period or universal scooter fit is promised here.
Is Yellow Cab the former Mears Taxi listed at MCO?
Yes. Yellow Cab of Orlando is formerly Mears Taxi. MCO’s taxi page lists Mears Taxi at (407) 422-2222, which continues to reach us. Mears Connect is a separate shuttle service.
What about Mears Connect or hotel shuttles?
Check the provider’s served destinations, booking requirements and schedule for your exact hotel. Mears Connect is a separate shuttle operator; do not assume it serves every I-Drive property. Ask your hotel whether it offers airport or park transportation and when the last return operates.
