Yellow Cab of Orlando

Where to Find a Taxi at MCO, Terminal by Terminal

MCO's official taxi page lists pickup on Level 1 at Terminal A, spaces A22–A25, and Level 1 at Terminal B, spaces B30–B34. For Terminal C, it lists the Level 6 Arrivals curb. Follow current airport taxi signs. You do not need an online reservation to use the taxi stand; airport taxi fares are metered.

Yellow Cab of Orlando, formerly Mears Taxi, operates 24/7. Need to discuss a van or wheelchair-accessible van? Call (407) 222-2222. (407) 422-2222 also works.

Airport locations checked October 18, 2026 against MCO's taxi page and official terminal information. Follow current signage and staff instructions if arrangements change.

Terminal A: finding the taxi stand

  1. Step 1: Collect your bags at the assigned baggage claim. MCO generally places Terminal A baggage claim on Level 2, but some claim facilities are on Level 1. Follow your flight's baggage information rather than assuming every arrival uses the same carousel area.
  2. Step 2: Go to Level 1, Ground Transportation. If you are already on Level 1, follow signs rather than changing levels unnecessarily. Use an elevator if that better suits your luggage or mobility needs.
  3. Step 3: Follow Taxi signs to spaces A22–A25. MCO identifies these spaces on the Ground Transportation curb as Terminal A's taxi location.
  4. Step 4: Confirm your destination and vehicle requirements before boarding. Keep your party together and explain how many people, bags and mobility devices are traveling.

Uber and Lyft pickup is not at the Terminal A taxi stand. MCO lists rideshare pickup on Level 2 and an additional Level 3 pickup window from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. A crowd waiting for cars on another level does not mean you have found the taxi queue.

Terminal B: finding the taxi stand

  1. Step 1: Collect your bags at the assigned claim. Terminal B baggage claim is generally on Level 2, with an additional claim facility listed on Level 1. Check the information for your flight.
  2. Step 2: Follow Ground Transportation signs to Level 1. Look for Taxi signs once you reach the ground-transportation area.
  3. Step 3: Find spaces B30–B34 on the curb. These are the Terminal B taxi spaces listed by MCO.
  4. Step 4: Explain your party's needs before boarding. Give the exact hotel or destination address, not just a resort name that could refer to several properties.

Mears Connect also uses Terminal B Level 1, but its operator lists bus slots B91–B97 and check-in inside. That is a separate shared-shuttle service, not the taxi stand. A reservation for Mears Connect is not a reservation with Yellow Cab of Orlando.

Terminal C: finding the taxi stand

Terminal C has a different layout from A and B. MCO's taxi page lists its taxi pickup at the Arrivals curb on Level 6. The airport's downloadable Terminal C map also shows a taxi symbol at that curb.

  1. Step 1: Complete your arrival process and collect your bags. Terminal C baggage claim is on Level 6.
  2. Step 2: For an international arrival, follow the customs and passport-control instructions. MCO describes Terminal C as a “Bags First” facility: international passengers collect baggage before proceeding to passport control.
  3. Step 3: After completing arrival formalities, follow current Taxi signs toward the Arrivals curb. Do not automatically go to Level 1 just because another sign refers generally to ground transportation.
  4. Step 4: If you have arranged a particular pickup, verify your meeting point before leaving the terminal. Give dispatch your terminal and the location shown on nearby signs.

MCO also identifies a taxi location at the adjacent train station. Do not assume that a train-station pickup and a Terminal C arrivals pickup are interchangeable. If your confirmation names the train station or another meeting point, ask for clarification rather than walking to a different facility on the strength of a general airport guide.

At the taxi stand

Use the official taxi area and follow the instructions given there. Before boarding, tell the attendant or driver your destination, passenger count and luggage requirements. If you want a particular company or vehicle type, ask what arrangements are available; do not assume that every taxi in the queue is a Yellow Cab.

MCO says airport taxicab fares must be determined by a taximeter and flat-rate fees are not authorized. Ask about the meter and any applicable charges before departure. Keep the cab details and ask for a receipt if you need a record of your journey.

For more about pricing and transportation choices, see our MCO taxi, Uber, Lyft and Mears Connect comparison. This guide focuses on finding the pickup area rather than estimating your fare.

Late-night and early-morning arrivals

Yellow Cab of Orlando operates 24/7, but that is not a promise that a particular vehicle or an airport attendant will be waiting at every stand. If you reach the signed taxi area and need assistance, call (407) 222-2222, or (407) 422-2222, and explain where you are.

At A and B, rideshare's additional Level 3 pickup window runs from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.; MCO's listed taxi locations remain on Level 1. Follow the signs for the service you are actually using.

MCO lists its information booths as open from 6 a.m. to midnight. Do not rely on an information booth being staffed outside those hours. Keep your phone available and confirm your meeting point before moving to another terminal.

Groups, vans and wheelchair-accessible taxis

Yellow Cab sedans seat up to four passengers, and vans seat up to seven. Tell dispatch or the person assisting at the stand about your bags and strollers as well as your passenger count. Seven seats do not establish that every combination of passengers and luggage will fit.

Need a passenger van? Vans are always in the taxi line at MCO; ask the starter or driver for one. See our van taxi guide for seven-passenger capacity, luggage planning and larger groups. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are a separate option.

Yellow Cab also has wheelchair-accessible vans. Call before travel to discuss your equipment, whether the passenger needs to remain in a wheelchair, and the pickup arrangements. Do not assume a suitable van is immediately available at the stand.

Airport assistance and an accessible taxi are separate arrangements. MCO advises notifying your airline about wheelchair or skycap assistance and telling your ground-transportation driver about your needs. See our wheelchair-accessible taxi guide, then confirm your individual requirements.

If you have already arranged a pickup

Check the terminal and meeting instructions in your reservation. Do not assume that a prearranged pickup uses the same queue as a walk-up taxi, or that a driver will meet you inside baggage claim.

If instructions are missing or unclear, call Yellow Cab before changing levels. Have your booking reference, arrival terminal and party details ready. For general service information, visit our MCO airport taxi page.
